Joanne Handy is the President and CEO of Aging Services of California, which represents the nonprofit senior living field of CCRCs, assisted living, senior housing and community-based services. Aging Services is the founding sponsor of AgeTech California, a partnership of the senior living and home care fields advancing the use of technologies by providers. Until 2009, she was the President of the Visiting Nurse Association of Boston, the nation’s oldest and one of the largest VNAs on the east coast. As CEO of one of the nation’s largest home and hospice providers, she leveraged community resources, championed policy agendas, and accessed public and private funding to expand services. Jeannee currently serves on the board of The Corridor Group, Inc., the National Hospice Foundation, the National Hospice Work Group, and Magnolia Prime. Jeannee also currently serves on the clinical faculty at UCSF School of Nursing. Jeannee received her Master’s degree from Yale University, and her undergraduate degree from Georgetown University. Karen is a subject matter expert in the field of aging as a result of working in the field for two decades. Her talents are strongest at the intersection of elderly/aging, technology and business development. Karen’s experience includes management and consulting roles in senior housing development and providing services to the elderly and their caregivers. She also served as primary caregiver for her 94-year-old uncle.
Kurt is a versatile high tech leader who has held leadership roles in multiple startup organizations, two of which were eventually acquired. He started as a technical creator developing industry changing robot control platforms based on off-the-shelf PC-based hardware.
Chris Goad is a computer scientist by training who received his PhD in Computer Science from Stanford. He has worked in a variety of areas: computer vision, programming language design, robot simulation, and web mapping. He has cofounded two companies.

Jeannee is an internationally known leader in health service strategic positioning, development and delivery of care ─ spanning the US, Central and South America, Thailand, and Turkey. She has consulted with WHO and the US Department of State in South Africa. Her career was launched in international public health settings, and later when she established the first AIDS Home Care and Hospice services in the US.
Kate Purmal is a strategy consultant and business coach to CEOs, professional services executives, and entrepreneurs. She works with her clients to initiate growth strategies and launch new business initiatives. She also serves as a strategic advisor to ipCapital Group, an IP strategy and innovation consulting firm.
